iTeknic isn’t a known brand, but they’re attacking the market with a competitive pair of wireless earbuds.

Battery life is always a concern, and that’s exactly what these iTeknic Bluetooth earbuds excel at.

Their fantastic battery life is extended far beyond even premium earphones from reputable brands.

While the “average” battery lasts around 8 hours and 10 is a positive, these buds offer double the time.

So, battery life is remarkable, but what about other features?

Comfort & Fit

4.5 Almost Perfect

Due to the big size, you might think they fall out of the ear canal a lot. But that’s not the case.

The silicone ear wings do a good job keeping them in place. They’re surprisingly comfortable.

The buds are lightweight, so they don’t tug down.

So, you can easily use them for working out or any other activity. It’s a secure fit.

While you can find more comfortable and better fitting workout headphones out there, these aren’t far behind.

The silicone ear tips and ear wings are soft to the touch and don’t irritate the skin. Also, when you don’t wear them, you can use the magnets inside the buds to glue together and hang them around the neck.

All in all, great design in the category of cheap wireless earbuds.

Noise Isolation

4.0 Great

Passive noise isolation, which isn’t the same as noise cancelling—more on this here—is effective.

Most in-ear headphones are good at blocking out ambient sound, and iTeknics are no different.

Make sure to pick the right eartips to get an airtight fit. It’s crucial for good noise isolation and strong bass.

You might find the information that they have DSP noise cancellation, but that is probably for the microphone.

There is no active noise cancellation and understandably so as those earbuds cost more money.

Bluetooth

4.0 Great

The iTeknic Bluetooth earbuds use the latest 5.0 Bluetooth with an energy-efficient chip.

You get the standard 30ft (10m) of range with a secure connection without distortion. The signal stays connected through a wall too, as long as it isn’t too thick (normal wall is fine).

Connecting for the first time is as easy as pressing and holding the power button on turn-on.

Additionally, they support regular SBC and aptX Bluetooth codecs that improve the sound transmission over the air, thus improving the audio quality.

Battery

5.0 Perfect

The battery life is the single biggest advantage of iTeknic earbuds over the competition.

They promise you up to 24 hours of continuous music on one charge. And, they aren’t lying.

You are probably skeptical, as we were initially, but the battery life is really fantastic.

We tested the battery (the longest battery test we’ve done for earbuds), and we got almost 25 hours of non-stop music on one 100% battery charge.

Because we test at around 50% volume, we got even longer battery life.

iTeknic is claiming up to 24 hours at 70% volume. So if you count the capacity degradation over time (batteries lose power with age) and listening to music at higher volumes, you can still expect an absolutely amazing battery life.

It’s sensational considering these are cheap earbuds and premium brands don’t come close with their 8-10 hour capacities.

Also, the charging time isn’t extended either. You get a full charge in around 2 hours with the micro-USB charging cord.

Consequently, if you’re looking for Bluetooth wireless earbuds with the longest battery life, then iTeknic buds are something to consider.

Durability

4.5 Almost Perfect

Durability is better than what the price suggests.

The metal casings are sturdy and seem well protected against accidental drops and water.

Since they have an IPX4 rating, you can easily take them to the gym as that makes them sweat-proof.

Now, IPX4 isn’t bad, but if your earphones die because of water a lot, you can get higher rated models for the same price.

Moreover, the cable is flat and rubbery, just the way we like it. The strain relief at the earbuds touching the wire is considerable, so it’s unlikely to pull the cables out accidentally.

On top of that, the in-line control module feels well-built and gives good feedback on presses.

To conclude, these Bluetooth earbuds are well built and can easily compare to the best of them.

Features

3.0 Good

If you’re expecting special features like a downloadable equalizer, then you’re expecting too much. These are cheap wireless earbuds after all.

Now you still get the standard features like the remote controls for music, a microphone for making phone calls, and magnetic buds (to make a necklace).

The controls are intuitive and use the standard 3-button system. Likewise, the microphone inside the module works well for its design.

You can easily make phone calls in quieter rooms but don’t expect to hold a conference out on the street. All the people we talked with had no complaints about voice quality.

Additionally, inside the module, there is a LED indicator that shows the current state of the headphones. It’s good to have when you want to know if they’re charging properly or looking for a new pair device.

Accessories

3.0 Good

The iTeknic package is basic, and that’s fine. You get the standard 3 pairs of eartips and ear wings in 3 different sizes.

Plus, you get a soft mesh carrying pouch that you can use to store them in. It doesn’t offer much protection, but it’s better than nothing.

For the price, it’s nice to have it.

Sound

4.0 Great

Now with headphones that offer lots of technology for little money the sound quality usually suffers.

But not with iTeknic BH001.

The overall sound signature can be described as balanced and is rather good.

There’s a good balance among ranges, and none is emphasized over proportions.

But keep in mind, if you prefer deep bass, these might not be the best for you. While the lows can go deep and are definitely present, they aren’t too strong.

For a basshead, these are a bad choice because lows are less prominent. See best bass earbuds instead.

You hear the rumble but not the punch.

The mids come out clear and present which is great for vocally rich music, especially jazz.

On the other hand, the highs can get quite high and sometimes suffering from sibilance.

Sibilance is especially a problem at higher volumes where “s” sounds become screeching.

Even though it’s not perfect audio, it’s more than good enough for the price. To get anything substantially better in wireless earphones you’d need to look at $100+ models.

Also, the soundstage isn’t shabby either. All in all, you’re getting solid sound quality for a low price.

Cheap earbuds (currently priced under $30), with sturdy sweat-proof design, long-term comfort and fit, Bluetooth 5.0, reliable performance and an enjoyable sound make a great offer.

So, in case you hate constantly charging your earbuds and want a model with a beast of a battery (as of writing this) then the iTeknic BH001 is a perfect choice for you.
